VISE PHASE A
The project VISE PHASE A has been completed successfully and rides on the existing campus network. This phase has covered 35 key locations as identified by the Chief Security Officer comprising a total of 64 cameras. The cameras deployed are 3MP,Varifocal,motorised focus and zoom control suitable for both day and night operations with built in IR source for night vision.
All the cameras are being monitored at the security control room on a 55 inches LED display
Monitor and being continuously recorded in a 64 Channel NVR(Network Video Recorder) withsufficient hard disk capacity to store recordings upto 30 days. The NVR is in DIGITS serverRoom. The vendor who has executed this project is M/S Bell Teleservices. Cameras and NVR are from UNIVIEW (OEM). All the camera location details are provided below.
PHASE A will also extend few cameras to be installed in the new chemical sciences complex andin Main library.This work will be taken up shortly. It is also proposed to start PHASE B to cover the remaining locations once the new campus OFC network work gets completed.
